Ceramic Sealant 1 is a professional grade product that produces graffiti-resistant, hard, silicon nitride-based, ceramic protection for glass, metal or painted finishes.
This product is based on a polymeric ceramic precursor compound. When the solvent carrier evaporates, the compound begins to cure by reacting with moisture in the air, and forms an extremely strong bond with the underlying substrate. This then crosslinks and cures over an extended period, eventually becoming an integral part of the paint. The resulting finish is permanent and provides a very hard layer of protection. The hydrophobic character of the finish has been carefully chosen and is extremely effective at resisting soiling, providing a level of stay-clean performance not found with most competing products. This product protects against graffiti, since materials such as spray paint are unable to easily adhere to treated surfaces.
Application
This product should be applied using a non-linting applicator. It should be treated like a lacquer or varnish and, after an even application, allowed to dry fully (and not buffed). When dry (typically in 30 minutes), the surface can be buffed. We recommend at least one hour before allowing the surface to get wet. The product will continue to cure for up to 30 days, depending on ambient conditions.
Dilution
The product should be used as supplied.
Special Care
Avoid over application. Do not buff off until dry. In the case of uneven or missed spots, simply apply additional product but ensure to do so as soon after application as possible. In case of user error, the misapplied product may be removed using an abrasive polishing process, within the first 24 hours. Once the product has cured, it cannot be removed.
