Waterless Wash
Waterless car wash products are a relatively new addition to the automotive sector. Instead of a bucket and sponge or other water-intensive process – they are sprayed on and wiped away, removing the dirt in the process. These are typically used in domestic environments where there is no access to water, or in mobile detailing/valeting applications where the need for water is restrictive to the operation. Waterless wash products operate by using a combination of cleaning, lubricating and protection additives – depending on what the user seeks to achieve. They can be used purely for cleaning, but can also give long-term protection, comparable with what might be achieved by waxes or sealants. With these products, method of use is of vital importance. As with a Clay Lubricant, the media will end up with soiling on the surface. The lubricating elements helps mitigate the damage this can cause when wiped on the surface, but it is critical that users constantly refold their wash cloths so that they expose only clean sections of the cloth.
