Anti-viral test certificates, on a white label product? You bet!

02 January 2021

It’s a New Year but not a new story. Covid-19 – the virus of the century – remains with us.

For nearly a year we have been fighting this virus, with varying success. There is brightness on the horizon, however. We have vaccines! This is fantastic and we have a real chance to move forward, but don’t relax yet. It will be months until there is adequate vaccination that we can let down our collective guard. Until then, cleanliness and sanitation remain critical.

Sanitisers? Old news?!

Unfortunately not. The need remains high, albeit supply is now much easier. There are, however, some real issues:

  • Cheap and poorly formulated products
    • Nasty smells
    • Sticky residues
    • Dry skin
    • Potentially toxic additives
    • Massive cost cutting, achieved by dropping alcohol levels or alcohol quality
  • Untested products
    • Unverified claims

Most readers will relate to several of the above. Many bulk buyers will be guilty of driving the trends and the pop-up suppliers are only too happy to pour honey over social media posts – their businesses are often unsustainable and they’ll be long gone before they get caught out.

But why? Aren’t all the products the same?

No!

There is absolutely no need for the above. We can make high quality gels, without sticky residues. We can use high quality alcohol and avoid the smells and nasty additives. We can get the products tested and verified. So why are you using something else?

Premium Alcohol Hand Gel

Our 70% (by weight – nearly 80% by volume) ethanol gel is formulated using only cosmetic and pharmaceutical grade ingredients. There is no methanol, no ethyl acetate. It has a bittering agent meaning that it cannot be consumed and has emollients and other additives to ensure that skin is protected. It can be supplied as described – ideal for food areas – or can be fragranced with specially chosen fragrance oils which will not add the potential for skin irritation. Moreover, we have not skipped on the validation of effectiveness:

  • EN 1276
  • EN 1500
  • EN 14476

We can, without a shadow of doubt, prove that our product is effective against not only bacteria, but also viruses. Don’t underestimate the importance of the latter – if your product does not have EN 14476 certification, you need to ask why not!

We can supply the product with our own label or customised to any requirements. We can ensure your claims are in line with biocidal products regulations and that your labelling is to current standards. We can supply in bulk or in retail ready units. The choice is yours.

What’s more? Well it doesn’t actually cost the earth! The cheap and nasty is barely cheaper at all. So why buy it!?

Viroclean

Where the above is for personal care, Viroclean is for surfaces. It is a quaternary ammonium based product which has been tested in multiple use scenarios (Industrial and commercial, medical, veterinary). Most competitors struggle to provide certification, much less certification in the vast range of areas that Viroclean can. As with out Hand Gel, it is tested against standards, for example:

  • EN 1276 (bacterial)
  • EN14476 (viral)
  • EN1650 (fungicidal)

In short, it will kill almost any of the harmful species you might encounter. It has literature proving these claims. It has certification allowing it to be used in almost any area. Using a product form a pop-up supplier which has perhaps one certificate and can’t tell you what areas it is approved to be used in? Just stop! Viroclean will do the same, won’t cost more and can prove it!

We can supply the product with our own label or customised to any requirements. We can ensure your claims are in line with biocidal products regulations and that your labelling is to current standards. We can supply in bulk or in retail ready units. The choice is yours.

So when you are going to replenish your company’s sanitising chemicals, please think hard about who is supplying you and what. Is it really all that it seems or will the company be gone in a year and selling pixie dust to someone else?
